Your Role as SEN Teacher:
* Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons for students with additional learning needs across KS3 and KS4.
* Differentiate the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring a focus on developing key life skills, communication, and independence.
* Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and external agencies to provide holistic support for students.
* Monitor and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies to support individual learning goals.
* Build strong relationships with parents and carers, ensuring regular communication about student progress and wellbeing.
* Participate in the development of individual education plans (IEPs) and contribute to the annual review process.
Who We’re Looking For:
* A qualified SEN Teacher with experience working with students with a range of learning needs.
* A patient, empathetic, and flexible teaching approach.
* Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to adapt lessons and resources to suit individual student needs.
* Experience using different communication methods (e.g., Makaton, PECS) and supporting students with sensory or emotional needs is an advantage.
* A commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive, and respectful classroom environment.
* Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one).
