Join Darlington Borough Council's Assessment and Safeguarding Service and become part of an experienced team making a real difference to the lives of children and families. The service comprises five dedicated Assessment & Safeguarding Teams within the borough. Your responsibilities will include handling child and family assessments, supporting Child in Need, Child Protection, Looked After Children, and managing care proceedings. We adopt a relational and restorative practice model to support our community. The role involves 37 hours per week, with TOIL available for additional hours. Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive Child & Families Assessments from referral.
2. Provide ongoing support under Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children frameworks.

5. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the borough to ensure the best outcomes for children.
