Job Description Role: Sheet Metal Workers - Contracting Location: Manchester Hourly rate : £36.00 per hour Shifts: Mon – Thurs 12pm to 1030pm – OT available normal shift or their own shift on Friday, early only for Saturday OT Mon – Fri 7am – 330pm – Saturday early OT available Duration: To be confirmed Project Scope: The transformation of the largest, current passenger production airliner, and convert it into a world class, market leading Air Freighter! We are hiring for candidates to support our B777 `Passenger to Freighter` modification project at Manchester. Key Duties & Responsibilities: All aspects of major structural repair and modifications to include but not limited to: · Removal of major aircraft structural sections, whilst stress jacked. · Working to fine tolerances and high standards. · Upholding high standards of housekeeping. · Adhering to company and manufacturers procedures. · Implementing modifications from drawings and procedures. Skills and Abilities: · Completed aircraft engineering apprenticeship, production or Live aircraft. · Ideally 5 years live aircraft and structures experience. · Candidates must pass a Hands on and Written Assessment Test, in order to start on this program · Demonstratable experience in aircraft modification/production environment · Experience of implementing and carrying out aircraft component modifications. · Experienced and capable of reading manufacturers drawings and SRMs. · Excellent hand skills · Takes full ownership and responsibility for own tasks. · Good organisational skills. · Good communicator. · Knowledge of MS Office applications. · Eligible to work in the UK.
