Service Manager

Our client are looking for a Service Manager to lead, coordinate, and support a team of seven field service engineers, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery, customer satisfaction, and technical excellence.

The Role
As the Service Manager, you will:
* Lead, support, and motivate a team of seven field service engineers, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality on-site service and maintenance.
* Take a hands-on role in technical troubleshooting, commissioning, and maintenance of engineered water treatment systems.
* Plan and coordinate service activities, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and customer needs are met on time.
* Manage escalations and provide expert technical support to resolve complex issues.
* Monitor team performance and service KPIs, ensuring targets are achieved and customer satisfaction remains high.
* Develop your team’s technical skills through coaching, training, and regular performance reviews.
* Collaborate closely with internal departments including Commercial, Operations, R&D, and Quality to ensure smooth communication and continuous improvement.
* Contribute to service process enhancements, identifying opportunities for efficiency and automation.
About You
You’ll bring:
* A degree or technical qualification in Engineering or a related field.
* Proven experience in a service engineering or service management role (ideally 5+ years).
* Strong knowledge of engineered water treatment systems – experience with ClO₂ (chlorine dioxide) technology is highly desirable.
* A practical, hands-on approach to engineering with the ability to lead by example in the field.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a focus on developing and supporting your team.
* Strong organisational, problem-solving, and planning abilities.
* A proactive attitude toward continuous improvement and customer service excellence.
* Comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
