Who You Are We are looking for a Principal Social Worker with experience in court work and a strong background in case management. You will be responsible for working with children subject to care proceedings and their families, conducting comprehensive assessments to guide decision-making processes. You should have a deep understanding of the impact of trauma on both parents and children, and the ability to evaluate parents' capacities to meet the needs of individual children. What the job involves The role involves managing a caseload of approximately 10/11 children (4/5 families) involved in care proceedings and overseeing all aspects of case management, including statutory visits, care planning, reviews, and court-related work. You will work with Locality Teams, mentoring less experienced social workers and social work assistants. You will conduct monthly supervision, chair strategy meetings, and ensure quality assurance in care plans. The position requires a focus on creating a supportive, positive working environment within the team.
