Overview
Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist CAMHS Learning Disabilities sought to join Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust. The successful applicant will provide clinical leadership across Herefordshire and Worcestershire CAMHS Learning Disability services, with clinical work delivered in Worcestershire. This is a part-time role (30 hours per week).
Responsibilities
* Act as the clinical lead for the CAMHS LD service, developing services in response to the needs of children and young people with co-morbid mental health and learning disabilities.
* Develop and organise psychological interventions within the clinical area, ensuring services are resilient, sustainable, and well-supported by a team delivering evidence-based interventions.
* Provide clinical supervision to the CAMHS LD Team and receive support from senior psychology leads within the Trust.
* Model a compassionate and inclusive leadership style and foster these qualities in staff you supervise.
* Manage escalations sympathetically and maintain a focus on patient, family, and staff wellbeing.
* Support flexible working patterns and contribute to a compassionate and inclusive working culture.
* Collaborate with the leadership team to uphold the service’s standards and development.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum of 4 years of experience as a qualified Clinical/Counselling Psychologist within the relevant area.
* Experience leading development and organisation of psychological interventions in a clinical area.
* Training and experience recognised by the Division of Clinical/Counselling Psychology to offer clinical placements to trainee psychologists.
* Experience applying psychological knowledge across a range of mental health presentations, including organic illness, functional mental health, and physical health.
* Experience assessing and providing a wide range of psychological interventions across life span and care settings.
* Advanced theoretical and applied knowledge of psychological approaches for people with complex presentations and physical health conditions; including specialised assessments and interventions.
Education & Registration
* BSc/BA Honours degree in Psychology (2:1 or above).
* Post-graduate Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology (or equivalent) as accredited by the BPS.
* Post-qualification training/experience in evidence-based techniques for complex presentations and/or physical health difficulties across the age span.
* Regular professional development as required by HCPC and BPS; eligible for registration as a Chartered Psychologist (Clinical or Counselling) and as a Practitioner member of the BPS Division of Clinical/Counselling Psychology; HCPC registered as Clinical/Counselling Psychologist.
Additional Criteria
* Ability to meet travel requirements of the post.
