Technician - Motor Vehicle
This full‑time position (37 hours per week) at the Berkshire College of Agriculture Campus offers a permanent role on an all‑year‑round support contract, paying on Scale G of the Support Staff Scale (G16 £24,098.00 up to G19 £26,784.00).
The Technician provides an exceptional student experience by ensuring a safe and effective practical teaching and learning environment. Key duties include:
* Assisting with induction of students and supporting lecturing staff with practical demonstrations and instruction.
* Preparing equipment and materials for lessons.
* Participating in events such as parents' evenings, recruitment, trade events and open days to support the college's marketing efforts.
* Maintaining a safe learning environment through adherence to safe working practices, risk assessments, and regular maintenance and servicing of all equipment and machinery.
* Managing supplies, parts and consumables and keeping the practical learning areas clean and organised.
* Ensuring the learning environment promotes a discrimination‑free atmosphere where students and staff can express individuality safely.
Qualifications:
* Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area.
* Level 2 English and maths.
* Experience working in a workshop‑based environment.
