Overview
We are looking to recruit a candidate to lead a team of engineers working on a rotating shift pattern to be the primary support for the site. The role will require fault finding, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), installations and upgrades to circuitry in addition to mechanically supporting breakdowns as and when required as this is a hands-on role. The role also includes leading a team of two engineers on the same shift pattern as the lead. All work must be completed effectively, with machine downtime being kept to a minimum, and within target expectations whilst adhering to the latest Health and Safety Regulations and best practices.
Responsibilities
* Lead a team of engineers on a rotating shift pattern, acting as primary site support.
* Perform fault finding, programmed maintenance, installations and upgrades to circuitry, and mechanical support for breakdowns as required.
* Manage downtime and priorities to minimize machine downtime and meet target expectations.
* Ensure all work complies with Health and Safety Regulations and best practices.
Qualifications
* Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent level qualification
* Experience of automated production environment
* Machine setting
* Previous Team leading experience
* Strong engineering background Electrically and Mechanically
* Strong Health and safety knowledge
* Strong relationship building qualities
* Understanding of working in a controlled environment
* Able to modify machine wiring
* Ability to read engineering drawings electrically and mechanically
Desirable Experience/Qualifications
* Injection Molding
* Knowledge and understanding of quick changeover best practices
* 18^th Edition
* PLC knowledge
