About the Role
We are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education setting supporting learners with additional needs. This is a permanent opportunity, with candidates initiallypleting a short 12-week interim period before moving into a permanent role.
You will play a key role in supporting students both in and out of the classroom, helping them develop independence, confidence, and essential life skills.Key Responsibilities
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support
2. Assist with tailored learning activities
3. Support development of independence andmunication skills
4. Promote positive behaviour and engagement
5. Support learners during lessons and break/unstructured times
6. Work closely with teachers and support staff
7. Monitor and record student progress
8. Provide support with personal care where required (including assisting with daily routines and wellbeing)

9. Experience in SEN, education, care, or support work
10. A patient, reliable, and proactive attitude
11. Strongmunication and teamwork skills
12. A genuine passion for supporting young people
13. Ability to build positive relationships with learners
