Role: Solution Architect (Cards & Payment)
Location: Northampton, UK (Hybrid 2-3 days onsite/week)
Contract: Inside IR35
Rate: 445 GBP/Day
Essential | Must-Have Skills and Experience:
* Expertise in architecting solutions across Cards-related technologies, Open Banking, Tokenization
* Proven ability to thrive in unstructured, ambiguous environments; adaptable in influencing outcomes
* Experience managing diverse stakeholders—technical, business, and project—and aligning conflicting objectives
* Knowledge of financial services business and applications
* Ability to present complex technical ideas clearly (written and verbal), anticipate objections, and persuade
Preferred Skills and Experience:
* Banking (retail) experience preferred
* Experience working in highly regulated environments
* Exposure to API design strategies for internal and external use
* Cloud technologies experience; AWS Solution Architect certification (foundational or higher)
* Understanding of ITIL principles and working with service management teams
* Application, Infrastructure, or Enterprise Architect training/certification (e.g., TOGAF)
* Experience with data architecture and data migration beneficial
Primary Responsibilities:
* Define and document technical solutions for Cards-related applications/products and middleware platforms
* Lead liaison with business clients to shape ideas into comprehensive requirements
* Support design and integration throughout the software development lifecycle
* Drive collaboration across design and build teams, ensuring adherence to design
* Maintain technical integrity and quality aligned with architecture strategy during delivery
