Senior Settlement Analyst

Here's what you'll be doing

As a Senior Settlement Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of data and supporting the development of regulatory reporting and forecasting within the models you own or support. A key deliverable of this role is the preparation and submission of obligation reports to the regulator. You will also play a vital role in supporting both internal and external audit processes related to your reporting. In addition, you'll be responsible for resolving data issues and supporting the implementation of industry changes to maintain the integrity of model inputs.

This role is an excellent opportunity to build your knowledge of the energy industry and its regulatory frameworks whilst gaining hands-on experience with emerging software, tools and technologies in data and reporting.

This role offers hybrid working, with a requirement to be based in our Westwood/Solihull office 2 days per week.

Key responsibilities

* Regulatory and Financial Reporting:Own and maintain the modelling processes to ensure the accurate generation of data for regulatory and financial reporting, delivering meaningful and compliant outputs. Provide support for query resolution as required.
* Forecasting Support:Lead the modelling efforts to deliver robust and reliable forecasts for Mid-Term Planning and Cost of Sales processes.
* Audit Support:Collaborate with internal and external auditors to support audit activities related to reporting and forecasting.
* Industry Change Assessment:Contribute to the review and assessment of industry changes, evaluating potential impacts on products, processes, and reporting requirements.
* Issue Resolution:Work closely with service providers and internal stakeholders to investigate and resolve data and reporting issues in a timely manner.
* Process Improvement:Proactively identify and implement opportunities to enhance reporting processes, improve data accuracy, and streamline exception handling.

* Proven ability to extract, validate, and interpret data from large and complex datasets across multiple sources.
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to distill complex data into clear, concise, and actionable insights.
* Demonstrable experience using a range of data tools and platforms.
* Excellent attention to detail to ensure reporting is accurate, consistent, and fit for purpose.
* Results-oriented, with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage and prioritise work to meet tight deadlines.
* A proactive, process-improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.
