Talent Acquisition Professional - Tech and Financial Services
About The Role: As an experimentation analyst, you will drive data-informed decisions through rigorous analysis of website and app experiments. You will delve into experiment data to extract key insights, producing clear reports and actionable recommendations that guide optimisation efforts. You will also partner with optimisation specialists and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate measurement and interpretation of experiment results. Beyond individual experiments, you will also identify overarching trends within our experimentation programme to drive continuous improvement of our methodologies and ways of working. You will contribute to fostering an experimentation culture by providing consultancy and training on A/B testing and personalisation to wider Waitrose teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement tracking and tagging requirements to accurately capture experiment data using web analytics and experimentation platforms
* Monitor ongoing experiments, ensuring data integrity and identifying any potential issues or anomalies
* Conduct in-depth analysis of individual experiment results, leveraging statistical methods to determine significance and identify key trends
* Create detailed reports that clearly communicate experiment findings, key learnings, and recommendations to stakeholders
* Collaborate with the optimisation specialists to translate data findings and meta-analysis insights into actionable hypotheses and future experiment ideas
* Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards to visualise experiment performance, key metrics, and overall programme trends for various stakeholders
* Perform meta-analysis of the experimentation programme to identify overarching trends, successful patterns, and areas for strategic improvement
* Contribute to the documentation of experiment processes, methodologies, and results
* Support the team in fostering a data-driven culture by providing clear and understandable data insights and program-level summaries
* Upskilling and inspiring digital teams on experimentation and personalisation
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, events, tools and techniques
Essential Skills/Experience You’ll Need
* Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline
* Strong understanding of statistical principles and their application to A/B testing and data analysis
* Proficiency in using web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting
* Proficiency in SQL for manipulating data including navigating data warehouses, retrieving/transforming data and query optimisation
* Functional understanding/experience with GTM (or other TMS platform)
* Proven expertise in designing and developing interactive and insightful dashboards using Tableau
* Strong communication and prioritisation skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical designs/specifications
* Appreciation of robust delivery processes: wireframing, documentation, proactive risk/dependency management etc
Desirable Skills/Experience You May Have
* Working knowledge of Monetate and/or Firebase
* Grocery retail experience
* Python experience/foundational skills
