At a glance: Location: Cirencester Office Workplace Type: Hybrid Employment Type: Permanent Seniority: Associate The role: This person will support the finance leadership team in managing and further strengthening its risk and control environment by ensuring risk and control systems are kept up to date, delivering accurate and timely reporting, and working with stakeholders to ensure improvement actions are closed on time. The role holder will support controls testing by sourcing evidence from control operators, proactively investigate root causes when things go wrong and make suggestions for how the framework could be strengthened. This individual will work closely with the Financial Controls Team, the Finance Business Manager and other stakeholders across Finance and Risk. What you'll be doing: Work with stakeholders across Finance and business areas to ensure risk and control systems information is accurate and up to date. Deliver timely regular and ad hoc reporting to Management, identifying and analysing trends and providing insight. Take responsibility for proactively working with action owners to ensure actions stay on track and are closed on time. Manage requests for information including sourcing documentation to support controls testing. Ensure the record of approved regulatory returns is kept up to date. Undertake research and analysis tasks when required. Who we're looking for: The ideal candidate will have a proactive work ethos and be able to prioritise their workload and complete activities to a deadline. They will have experience of analysing and presenting data using Excel, Power BI and Power Point, and be able to identify trends and provide useful/timely insight. They will have experience of maintaining the accuracy of system data, self-checking outputs before reporting to others and be numerate and comfortable working with figures. They will be confident mastering different systems and tools with a curious mindset and preferably experience of Financial Services. Essential Criteria Proactive and self-motivated - able to prioritise workload and complete activities to a deadline. Experience of analysing and presenting data using Excel, Power BI and Power Point - able to identify trends and provide useful/timely insight. Experience of maintaining the accuracy of system data and self-checking outputs. Numerate and comfortable working with numbers and finance colleagues. Confident using and picking up different systems and tools. Self-motivated and able to establish required processes and procedures. Confident communicating with all level stakeholders across the business. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Desirable Criteria Experience of working within Financial Services.
