Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle various types of cargo, including flatbed loads.
Duties
* Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
* Load and unload goods, securing cargo appropriately for transport, particularly when handling flatbed loads.
* Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
* Adhere to all company policies regarding safety, conduct, and operational procedures.
* Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any issues that may arise professionally.
Qualifications
* Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) is essential.
* Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles is preferred.
* Familiarity with flatbed operations is an advantage but not mandatory; training will be provided.
* Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for safe driving.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Good communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and colleagues effectively.
* A commitment to maintaining a clean driving record is required.
