Senior Digital & IT Project Manager – Permanent (Hybrid, Solihull) Location: Greater Birmingham (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week) with occasional travel to client sites across the UK. Clearance Required: BPSS Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 A leading Consultancy is seeking 2 experienced Senior Digital & IT Project Managers for a permanent opportunity to lead the delivery of IT work-packages across development, integration, and service transition. The Senior Digital & IT Project Manager will take full responsibility for the definition, documentation and successful completion of complex projects (typically with significant business, political, or high-profile impact, and high-risk dependencies). Ensures that effective project control, change control, risk management and testing processes are maintained. Monitors and controls resources, revenue and capital costs against the project budget and manages expectations of all project stakeholders. They will oversee all internal delivery teams as well as any external partners/suppliers delivering as part of the project. The Senior Digital & IT Project Manager will have line management responsibilities for Digital Project Managers and Junior Digital Project Managers THE ROLE The Senior Digital & IT Project Manager will be responsibile for the below deliverables onsite at one of the Consultancies clients: Manage end-to-end IT project delivery across internal teams and third parties Ensure delivery within scope, budget, and timelines Manages delivery of IT work-packages/projects requested as part of a wider Business Project or Programme Ensure that IT deliverables are to the required standard of quality, within the constraints of time and cost as defined as part of IT Project Definition Document (PID) End to end IT delivery from acceptance of the request by DDaT through to work-package/Project close down Controlling the scope of the work-package/project, ensuring all changes are managed effectively and in line with process Responsible for overall progress and use of resources, and initiation of corrective action where required Management of delivery team and 3rd parties (where applicable) Manage risk, assumptions, issues and dependencies to DDaT standards Maintain project governance and reporting standard Support service readiness and operational handover Manage delivery partners/suppliers to ensure they deliver in accordance with the contracts' SLAs Manage internal resources to ensure correct time allocation to projects YOU The Senior Digital & IT Project Manager will have prior experience of: Proven experience managing IT projects or work-packages for Defence/Technology/Utilities organisations Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills in complex businesses Good understanding of systems integration and delivery lifecycles Prince2 Practitioner or APM certification It is desirable to have miltary experience but not essential Must be willing to undergo BPSS security clearance.
