An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Member and Management Support Service for ahighly motivatedandexperiencedPersonal Assistant to support Directors of Derbyshire County Council.

You will provideproactive and efficientsupport and be responsible for the effective day to day management and organisation of the activities and business of two of the senior leaders of the council.

The role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is dynamic, innovative and who has previous experience of working in a similar role.

What will I be doing:

* Provide the main point of contact for senior leaders, acting as a filter for issues/problems, provide effective support and problem resolution
* Responsible for the effective management of the electronic diary
* Processing and evaluating incoming mail; initiating responses as appropriate and highlighting issues for further investigation to support decision making and ensuring any necessary/outstanding actions are identified and addressed to ensure deadlines are met

What skills and experience do you need to have:

* Beenthusiastic,versatileandself-motivatedwith the ability to work well as part of a team
* Confidence to work under pressureand manage several tasks simultaneously and bepolitically astute
* Education to HNC level or business-related Level 3 qualification or equivalent relevant experience
* Excellent interpersonalskills withattention to detail
* Expert knowledge ofMicrosoft OfficeincludingOffice 365, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

The Member and Management Support Service is contractually based in Matlock but as part of our working arrangements we are currently working on a hybrid basis. There’ll be an opportunity to discuss future working arrangements at interview.
