Responsibilities
* Provide support for the front-line management team in addressing medium to long term issues, through the identification and resolution of root causes either directly or indirectly.
* Identify, provide and implement solutions to potential issues within the manufacturing environment.
* Analyse process capabilities and liaise with other support functions to ensure stability and consistency across manufacturing processes.
* Drive continuous improvement through others across manufacturing processes.
* Assist in creating a performance culture, motivating, and aligning all staff to a common goal of business excellence.
* Make informed, data driven recommendations on improvement opportunities within the business.
* Responsible for Food Safety, authenticity, legality, and quality – focusing on factory standards and associated decisions, implementing, and monitoring corrective actions, closure of non-conformances, and addressing customer complaints.
* Assist in creating and maintaining a framework of tools and techniques that the site can use to drive operational improvements in conjunction with other functions.
* Coach staff utilizing CI methodologies to make a cultural shift.
About you
Essential:
* Hold, or be studying towards, a degree in Engineering/Mathematics/Sciences related discipline with the expectation to receive a 2:2 or higher (graduating by August 2025).
* Confident working with large data sets and able to analyse them to determine patterns or trends to support solutions.
* Comfortable being hands-on and working on the shop floor to understand problems and find solutions.
* Interaction with shop floor staff at all levels.
* Organisational and time management skills.
* Accurate record keeping.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Team player, able to collaborate and achieve shared objectives.
* Confident in leading discussions and integrating ideas across departments.
* Passion for food manufacturing.
