Overview
Position: Mechanical Fitter — Location: Wilton, Redcar — Project: Shutdown — Duration: 4 Weeks — Start: 29 September 2025
Responsibilities
* Read, understand and implement all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the plating/structural work scope is completed safely and to a high standard.
* Follow the schedule communicated by the supervisor.
* Complete all workscope in accordance with applicable workpack / jobcard instructions, associated procedures and drawings / sketches.
* Provide support to other trades/disciplines where required, or form part of an integrated multi-discipline team.
* Apply for relevant permits to work (PTW) in order to complete workscope in a controlled and safe manner (onshore only).
* Undertake appropriate Risk Assessments (RA) in order to complete workscope in a safe and controlled manner.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in industrial environments, preferably within the oil, gas, or related sectors. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shutdown environment.
* Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Flexibility to work in shifts and adapt to changing project requirements.
* Relevant mechanical fitter qualifications/certifications (such as NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
* CCNSG Safety passport.
* Wood mandatory training, induction, risk awareness, etc.
* TMJI10.
* Ability to work at heights and work in confined spaces.
