We’re looking for an ambitious Risk and Resilience Modelling Specialist to help lead the evolution of Northern Powergrid’s long-term network planning and resilience strategy.


As the energy landscape rapidly transforms, we’re investing in new ways to plan, model, and future-proof our electricity infrastructure for a net zero world. In this key engineering role, you’ll develop the advanced modelling tools and insights that guide how we invest in assets and respond to climate change risks—powering 3.9 million homes and businesses across the Northeast, Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire.


Working as part of a high-performing team and reporting into our Asset Management leadership, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation—developing risk-based asset and climate modelling capabilities, delivering strategic insights to national frameworks, and shaping Ofgem policy engagement. Your work will inform billions in long-term investment and underpin our climate adaptation and resilience plans.
