Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership

Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist for North Aberdeenshire

1 x 37 hours per week (Permanent) OR 2 x part-time posts (Permanent)

£41,608‑£50,702 (per annum, pro‑rated)

Work base in north locality negotiable.

Aberdeenshire’s Occupational Therapy Service is delighted to offer a new Band 6 post for an experienced and dynamic Occupational Therapist to join our community rehab teams and help shape and deliver the Discharge to Assess (D2A) model across the region.

We are seeking motivated, enthusiastic, and forward‑thinking professionals to join our teams based in North Aberdeenshire. The role will be pivotal in supporting the early discharge of patients from hospital, and enabling safe and effective rehab and enablement at home.


As Part Of This You Will

* Provide a priority response to facilitate timely hospital discharge.
* Provide a priority response for patients referred to our virtual community wards, enabling them to remain at home wherever possible.
* Work within a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency framework to ensure seamless care in the community.
* Manage a diverse caseload with a wide range of conditions and complex needs.
* Supervise and allocate work to OT support staff and contribute to student training.
* Play an active role in service development within your locality and the wider Health & Social Care Partnership.

A full clean UK driving licence and a car available for business use is essential.

There will be an expectation to provide services over 7 days, including weekends, public holidays and extended hours, where required, to meet the need of services.

Additional Information For Candidates

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rated. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
