A high school in Skelmersdale is looking for an interim IT Technician to play a crucial role in maintaining the schools' infrastructure, networks, hardware and software.
Skelmersdale is a town in the West Lancashire district of England. It's around 6 miles from Wigan, 13 miles from North east Liverpool and 15 miles from southwest Preston.
Your new role
As an IT Technician, you will be providing 1st and 2nd line support to the staff, pupils and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
* Provide technical support to staff and students
* Install, configure and troubleshoot systems and software
* Manage and maintain the IT Network
* Assist teachers in the classroom with technical equipment when needed
* Repair hardware
* Manage active directory
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have :
* Relevant IT Qualifications
* Experience of working in an IT support role (preferably in education)
* Expereince of hardware, software and network issues
* Have great communication skills
What you'll get in return
In return, you will be paid a competitive daily rate, and this will be paid weekly. You will have a dedicated consultant at Hays that will assist with the compliance, paperwork, payments and keep looking for future contracts.
