Responsibilities
* Lead a Residential Children's Home in line with Ofsted regulations and the home's Statement of Purpose
* Ensure safeguarding and welfare of children, creating an environment where individuals are heard, respected and valued
* Assess and develop plans to meet the needs of the children to ensure the most appropriate service provision
* Deliver comprehensive training and development programmes to enable the team to have the necessary skills and levels of expertise
* Develop appropriate relationships with staff, children, external agencies and other stakeholders
* Actively co-ordinate the service provision, becoming the focal point for support, advice and coaching to the team within the home
* Promote best practice in trauma-informed care and the therapeutic relationships between staff, children and their families
* Collaborate with other Managers as part of the Management Team and work effectively in partnership with referrals, Placing Authorities and the Local Authority
* Recruit new team members in line with Safer Recruitment protocols
* Lead on team and HR matters in accordance with policy and employment law
About You / Qualifications
* At least two years proven managerial / supervisory experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children and children's homes
* Experience supervising and managing a team of childcare practitioners
* An exceptional role-model to your team, demonstrating a professional approach, positive behaviours and attitude
* Minimum Level 4 in Children, Young People & Families Practitioner (or equivalent qualification)
* Preferably hold (or working towards) a Level 5 in Leadership and Management
* Must hold a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle
* The successful candidate will undertake a fit persons interview with Ofsted
Salary & Benefits
* Salary £55,000 per annum (basic)
* Joining bonus up to £10,000 (paid over first year)
* Performance bonuses up to £15,000 per annum
* 40 hours per week, mainly Monday to Friday, with additional weekend and on call responsibilities on the roster
