HR Operations Officer Location : Bath and North East Somerset Council (Hybrid - Office and Remote) Salary : £18 Umbrella P/H About the Role We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented HR Operations Officer to join the Human Resources and Organisational Development team at Bath and North East Somerset Council. This role will be crucial in supporting the recruitment process and HR operations, helping to attract top talent to the organisation and ensuring the recruitment process is seamless for both candidates and managers. Key Responsibilities Act as the primary contact for managers and candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing guidance and support. Advertise vacancies across a wide range of media platforms, including social media, ensuring compliance with equalities policies. Assist managers in creating compelling job adverts that reflect the organisation's employer brand and attract high-quality candidates. Utilise the newly implemented Applicant Tracking System to manage and track applications, ensuring an efficient process for all stakeholders. Attend and support recruitment fairs and other events to promote the organisation and engage with potential candidates. Maintain accurate recruitment records and data, ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures. Provide coaching and advice to managers on recruitment best practices, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Assist with various HR-related administrative tasks and recruitment projects as required. About You Proven experience in an HR or recruitment role, with a focus on operations and talent acquisition. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with managers and candidates. Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems or similar HR technology. Knowledge of equalities policies, data protection, and recruitment best practices. Proactive and enthusiastic with a passion for recruitment and creating a positive employer brand.
