Job Duties:
The Geography Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Geography lessons to students, following the national curriculum. They will assess student progress, provide feedback, and support students in their learning. The teacher will also participate in parent-teacher meetings, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to the overall development of the Geography curriculum.
Required Qualifications:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification in Geography. A relevant degree in Geography or a related field is essential.
Education:
A degree in Geography or a related field is required. Further postgraduate qualifications in education are desirable.
Experience:
Previous experience teaching Geography at the secondary school level is preferred. Experience in lesson planning, assessment, and student support is essential.
Knowledge and Skills:
Demonstrated knowledge of the national curriculum for Geography. Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills are necessary. Proficiency in using educational technology and resources is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications:
Postgraduate qualifications in education are preferred. Additional certifications in relevant areas of Geography or teaching are a plus.
Working Conditions:
The Geography Teacher will work in a secondary school setting, collaborating with colleagues and interacting with students and parents. The role may involve some extracurricular activities and participation in school events.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
