A vacancy has arisen for a Flt Lt (Any Profession) to serve as OC Research and Course Development at RAF Cranwell on Full Time Reserve Service (Home Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 24 December 2025. Or earlier depending on the individuals’ circumstances. As OC RCD, you will lead the introduction, integration, development, and assurance of technology-enhanced learning (TEL) across RAF OTA, ensuring the course design aligns with strategic training objectives. You will manage stakeholder engagement, support continuous improvement, and act as a subject matter expert in research and course development. Areas of responsibility include: Course Development & TEL Oversight Lead and direct the TEL team within L&D Wing, providing creative oversight and guidance to ensure the effective integration of communication, information, and technology in support of learning, teaching, and assessment. Monitor and evaluate the impact of TEL initiatives on learner outcomes and training effectiveness, using data-driven insights to inform continuous improvement and innovation. Collaborate with the Training Manager to ensure course objectives are fully integrated into new course designs. Act as the focal point for new technology introduction and development and aimed at enhancing the learning experience and fostering collaboration between TEL management and training providers. Oversee internal and external contract management stakeholders to promote best practices and efficient use of learning systems supporting the TEL management team. Ensure consistent engagement between ICAN, TEL management, and Training Providers to maintain quality of product and process across RAF OTA and provide regular updates. Continuous Improvement & Assurance Provide feedback via Assurance and Governance. Engage with A&G as an SME on Research and Course Development. Leadership & Compliance Perform line manager responsibilities for the TEL Mgr and TEL Assist. Display role model standards expected of staff and officer cadets in accordance with AP1. Maintain currency and competence in all mandatory training. Complete additional tasks as directed by the Chain of Command.
