Band 7 Prehabilitation Team Lead
Permanent 0.6 WTE
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Team Lead to coordinate and deliver Prehabilitation within the Orthopaedic Scheduled Care pathway.
This is a leadership opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes before surgery.
As Team Lead, You Will
* Lead the coordination and delivery of prehabilitation services across NHS Lothian.
* Work closely with the Orthopaedic multidisciplinary team, including surgeons, arthroplasty practitioners, extended scope physiotherapists, ERAS team, and waiting list managers.
* Manage a caseload of patients awaiting orthopaedic surgery, assessing capability and planning tailored prehabilitation interventions to optimise health and wellbeing.
* Deliver care both in-person across NHS Lothian sites and remotely via digital platforms.
Leadership & Education
* Provide line management and professional support to members of the Physiotherapy/Prehabilitation Team as the service develops.
* Act as a practice educator for physiotherapy students, fostering clinical learning and development.
What We’re Looking For
* HCPC-registered Physiotherapist with substantial clinical experience, ideally in orthopaedics or rehabilitation.
* Proven leadership and service development skills.
* Strong communication and collaboration abilities within multidisciplinary settings.
* Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centred care.
