This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly motivated and committed to delivering high-quality, value-for-money services, such as social or educational care or support for children and young people in Derby, through implementing commissioning strategies, plans, and activities.
As a Commissioning Project Officer, you will contribute to the strategic planning and commissioning of services for vulnerable children and young people. You will work with a wide range of internal and external partners and support the creation and implementation of commissioning plans and activities. You will provide high-level support on project implementation, service developments, and reviews, following a project management methodology to ensure projects are well-planned, risk-assessed, communicated, and delivered on time.
You will possess excellent communication and customer service skills with parents, carers, and stakeholders.

The Opportunity
In the role of Commissioning Project Officer, you will:
* Support the commissioning of services for vulnerable children and young people by working with various partners
* Provide project support to develop a range of projects
* Undertake consultation exercises to understand the needs and views of customers and citizens
* Establish and maintain effective relationships across stakeholders and partners
* Gather, analyze, and present best practice information and data to support service development according to local and national guidelines
About You
To succeed, you should have:
* Experience in commissioning/procurement activities
* Project management experience
* Experience in gathering, analyzing, and presenting information to improve services
* Experience in consultation with service users, parents/carers, and stakeholders
* Effective partnership working and collaboration skills
* Minimum of A-level education
* The ability to work flexibly as part of a team, communicating effectively and fostering a One Team approach
