SEND Teacher – Full-Time Location: Hull Start Date: ASAP or Easter 2026 We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join our specialist school supporting students in KS3 and KS4 with SEMH and SEND needs who have been cannot attend a mainstream education. This is a rewarding role, delivering high-quality teaching and helping students rebuild confidence, develop skills, and achieve their potential. As a SEND Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEMH and SEND Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development Differentiate learning to ensure all students can access the curriculum Implement behaviour management and support strategies to promote positive learning Work closely with teaching assistants, pastoral staff, and leadership to ensure consistency Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents We are looking SEND Teachers who: Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification Have experience teaching students with SEMH, SEND, or in alternative provision Are patient, adaptable, and resilient Can manage challenging behaviour professionally and empathetically Demonstrate strong communication and relationship-building skills Are committed to helping students who have struggled in mainstream education What We Offer: A full-time role in a supportive, specialist vocational school Structured behaviour systems and a strong support network The opportunity to make a real, lasting impact on students’ lives Ongoing professional development and guidance To apply, contact Dena Gillies at GSL Hull directly or apply online.
