We are seeking an experienced and qualified Legal Advisor to support LSST in managing a broad range of legal matters. This includes, but is not limited to, commercial issues, student and staff concerns, litigation, academic partnerships, compliance with legislation and regulations, and legal agreements.
The Legal Advisor will handle all legal matters, policies, procedures, terms & conditions, complaints, data protection issues, and OfS prevent submissions. They will maintain comprehensive records of cases, both electronic and hard copies.
Responsibilities include reviewing and drafting legal contracts, providing legal and compliance advice, supporting complex casework, managing litigation, and liaising with external law firms to ensure high-quality, cost-effective legal advice. They will also ensure LSST's compliance with GDPR, CMA, OfS, consumer law, and the Companies Act, acting as the primary contact with service providers like insurers.
Job Purpose
To provide high-quality legal advice and lead on legal matters for LSST, including specific projects as required.
Qualifications
UK-qualified solicitor recognized by the Law Society with proven success and practical experience in legal practice.
