Job Description Make your mark as a Logistics Assistant at Gardline! As a Logistics Assistant you will work as part of the dedicated Logistics Team, to ensure the smooth and effective coordination of all activities connected to the logistics function with involvement in the following fields: material handling, packaging, warehousing and distribution until the delivery to final customer, through the best logistics scheme in terms of cost, lead time and quality. Your responsibilities include but not limited to: Check incoming materials, equipment, and supplies against packing slips; assigns materials to the proper location; issues materials to end user, record all materials issued forward to personnel and vessels. Co-ordinate the delivery of incoming and outgoing materials, organising and coordinate operations of physical flows (the storage, orders preparation, expedition) by optimizing the quality / costs / lead-time. Ensure the logistics / stores support is given to Office/Workshop/Offshore Staff to enable the needs of the business. As part of a team of persons (operators, forklift drivers and order preparation techniques. Distribution co-ordinators (import – export) Assist the logistics department in the day-to-day activities of goods receipt and dispatch. Solves shortages or allocations situations regarding transport issues organising the transport execution. Liaise with the logistics manager to ensure that goods and equipment is processed following company procedure.
