Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Alternative Provision / SEN School in Harlow. This role involves working with pupils aged 7 to 16, providing tailored support to help them engage with learning and achieve their individual goals.
You will be supporting students with a range of additional needs in a nurturing and structured environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting the class teacher, promoting positive behaviour, and helping pupils build confidence both academically and socially.
This role is full-time, starting ASAP and running through the summer term until July 2026.

Minimum rate of pay – £100 – £120 per day
Hours – Monday to Friday – 08:30am – 15:30pm
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Experience working in Alternative Provision, SEN School, or similar setting is desirable
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils
A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting learning and behaviour
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child-related references
