Salary:£27,000 – £35,000 FTE Hours: NegotiableLocation: Chelmsford (Hybrid)
A long-established and highly reputable accountancy practice in Chelmsford is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their growing bookkeeping department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with clients, thrives in a supportive team environment, and embraces modern cloud-accounting technology.
The Role:
You will play a key part in delivering high-quality bookkeeping services across a varied client portfolio.
Duties include:
* Monthly and quarterly bookkeeping
* Preparation of VAT returns
* Producing management accounts
* Onboarding and supporting clients with Making Tax Digital for Income Tax
* Providing initial software training and ongoing client support
* Working extensively with Xero (experience preferred)
Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach are essential. The firm is forward-thinking and regularly adopts new technology, so an openness to learning new software is important.
Flexible Working & Hybrid Approach
* Hybrid 3 days in office
* Flexible start times between 8:00am and 9:30am (7.25 hours per day)
