Job title: Senior Electrical Engineer and Electrical Engineer
Salary: £40,000 to £65,000 DOE
Working arrangements: Hybrid / flexible
Location: Dorset
I am working with a respected Design and Building company in Dorset, who are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to take a leading role in the business, as well as an Electrical Engineer to work on a range of interesting projects. They specialise in mechanical, electrical, and renewable services and are known for their commitment to quality, safety, and innovation, serving a wide range of clients in the commercial, industrial, and large-scale domestic sectors.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Responsible for management of project-specific design deliverables
* Interpreting and understanding client requirements from client documents (drawings, specifications, correspondence, etc.)
* Coordinate with Mechanical Design Engineer/M&E Co-ordinator
* Produce marked drawings for the CAD/Revit team to draft, ensuring detailed design drawings are specification-compliant
* Conduct design calculations utilising software packages such as Electrical OM, Amtech, Dialux, and Relux
* Responsible for producing single-line and block cable diagrams, load schedules, equipment specifications, cable schedules, equipment schedules
* Undertake design risk assessments to support detailed design proposals
* Provide design support to Junior Design Engineers
* Producing and developing designs within commercial constraints
* Managing change control during the design phase
