Overview
Working within the Payroll solution team who are the subject matter experts for business processes and applications across Payroll. The Solution Support Lead role will sit outside of the daily processing of payroll but will provide back-office support to ensure smooth running of time attendance through to payroll. This role will work closely with the Solutions Delivery Lead & the Operational Payroll Manager to progress to resolution any incidents raised related to the payroll application.
This will involve managing the flow of tasks with our application support partner & support consultants. They will make recommendations for improvements and act as a trouble shooter as required.
This role is predominately homebased with the need to travel to meetings approximately once a month.
How will you contribute?
* Triage and prioritisation of all payroll incidents
* Respond and resolve all payroll Incidents raised.
* Managing related incidents as problems.
* Monitoring all integrations with Oracle Payroll and raising incidents with IT Support.
* Allocating incidents to our application support partner.
* Managing our application support partner to meet agreed SLA for Payroll Support.
* Allocating incidents to identified Support Consultants.
* Review and approval of all fixes proposed by the application support partner & support consultants.
* Carrying out root cause analysis for all incidents.
* Raising required changes for review and implementation following RCA.
* The collation and publishing of all Payroll Support KPI’s.
* Acts as an escalation point for payroll set up and performance issues; acts as the trouble shooter and liaison between operations, People Services team and our application support partner.
* Liaises with the people/management teams when something goes wrong with payroll due to a process or system issues, provides a recovery plan and lesson learnt document for every case.
* Supports T & A and payroll related projects as and when required.
* Produces and supplies adhoc summary reporting and statistical information on payroll data.
* From time to time you may be asked to complete activities and duties outside of this job description that aid the smooth running of the wider People team and Wincanton.
What will you bring?
* Experience with the Oracle cloud system and Payroll
* Experience in a similar role and understands the challenges on inhouse payroll
* Experience and system knowledge of a time and attendance system, such as Kronos dimensions
* Future thinking with and curious and open mind
