Part time weekend roles required for a lady in her 40’s, who is wheelchair bound with a complex medical history with full capacity. The client lives in a fully adapted family home which includes the client’s husband and a friendly young child with SEN and 3 very affectionate dogs.
£13.89 per hour, which will be reviewed annually
Time and a half for bank holidays
24 hours per week based on Saturdays and Sundays working on a 2-1 basis with other staff members.
All certified mandatory training is provided to NHS ICB standards for the role and my needs.
All shifts are 9am-9pm on a set rota. There will be no messing around with short notice rota changes and expectations, when we understand you have you own life outside of work also!
Over time is available and always appreciated to cover other team members annual leave, staff absence etc. Overtime is offered on a first come first served basis.
All candidates need to be 18+ and have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Experience in care is essential, and all training for the role is provided. The ideal candidate will be able to think on their feet and be able to work alongside other team members (male and female) to ensure good working practices. A good positive “can do” attitude, good communication skills and reliability is essential.
Duties include helping with personal care, hoisting with maximum attention to pain management, maintaining basic cleanliness of the family home and keeping a safe working environment, assisting and documenting of medication, giving medication including injections, some light meal preparation, full observations management, diabetes management, pressure area management as advised via a care plan and through training. Assisting the client to maintain enrichment inside and when leaving the family home such as days out, or on holiday abroad on very rare occasions. A good-natured attitude to prompt and assist on days where the clients condition is at it’s worst which may include bed days.
A full enhanced DBS will be funded by the client and a staff pension is provided subject to eligibility criteria.
4 weekly pay PAYE + pro rata annual leave entitlements as per contracted hours.
