The Saga Central Finance function are recruiting for an AP Clerk to join their busy accounts payable team.
As our Accounts Payable Clerk you’ll ensure that invoices are correct and paid within agreed payment terms. You will need to be inquisitive, proactive and use your initiative to look at the bigger picture to ensure the job is done properly.
With the support of your team, you will help manage the AP inbox and organise/prioritise invoice workflow, build relationships with stakeholders and work to tight deadlines.

*You will be required to visit the Folkestone office in Sandgate once a week*
Role Responsibility
Working in our Group Accounts Payable team, your key responsibilities will be:
* Managing the AP email inbox to organise invoice workflow
* Matching invoices against booking system data
* Coding non-contractual costs
* Managing invoice approval
* Managing new supplier set up
* Creating and checking payment runs to suppliers before submission
* Supplier statement reconciliation
* Ensuring all company policies & procedures are followed & upheld at every level
* Building relationships with & managing expectations of stakeholders
The Ideal Candidate
Suitable candidates will already have been exposed to accounts payable function and be keen to develop their finance career within a large business such as Saga.
You will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience;
* Can competently handle different systems and prioritise
* Able to work individually as well as within a team and capable of delivering objectives
* Personal flexibility, a proactive approach
* Effective communication skills
* Good working knowledge of Office 365
* Coupa experience preferable
