GCSE English Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role starting as soon as possible

Duties as GCSE English Teacher
* Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to pupils with SEMH needs
* Differentiate teaching strategies to meet individual learning requirements
* Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages participation
* Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted interventions
* Work closely with support staff and SENCO to implement personalised learning plans
* Promote emotional resilience and positive behaviour through consistent strategies
* Uphold safeguarding standards and ensure the welfare of all pupils
Ideal GCSE English Teacher
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching English at secondary level
* Strong understanding of SEMH needs and effective strategies for engagement
* Ability to build positive relationships and inspire confidence in pupils
* Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
* Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to supporting diverse needs
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
* Willingness to undergo safeguarding checks in line with DfE’s statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education
