M&E Quantity Surveyor Camden 8-month Fixed Term Contract Salary Guide - £60,000 to £65,000 Our client is a London-based SME delivering mechanical and electrical services for both the public and private sector. They are hiring now for a M&E Quantity Surveyor to work on a series of projects within a domestic residential setting, overseeing high volume low-small works programmes. The role of M&E QS involves preparing estimates and costs of the work, and when the project is in progress, keeping track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs and create reports to show profitability. As well, the Quantity Surveying takes on the project from inception through to completion stages, take on from winning the contract, procurement, managing sub-contractors, variations, cost reporting through to final accounting. Key responsibilities: Manage and oversee all Surveying activities across the project at the discretion of the Project Management Team. Manage subcontractor accounts for project Update and maintain cost to sales report Issue sub-contractor terms and conditions, minor works terms and conditions and purchase order terms and conditions. Update and maintain commercial reports Oversee contractual notices for project Assist with the issue of RFIs and Technical Submittal documents Produce and Issue Monthly Applications Capture contract variations and pricing accordingly Manage Final Accounts Monitor and manage sub-contractor liabilities Assess all quotes with the PM Value all submitted and notified variations. Manage and value sub-contractor interim applications Issue payment notifications, certifications and withholding notices. Agree Final Accounts when required Audit purposes - Propose Monthly work in progress schedule and accrued income schedule for financial Cashflow forecasting for the project alongside finance dept Qualifications Post Graduate Diploma in Quantity surveying Past and current building and construction technology, processes, materials, business and legal matters. Knowledge in the building services sector and familiarisation around heating, hot water and gas-related parts and equipment. Ability to read AUTOCAD Drawings. Proficient in MS office, MS project, Sage 50, Sage 200.
