Finance Officer - Part-Time
Location: Croydon
Hours: 7:30am - 3:30pm, 4 days per week
Contract: Term time only, plus 2 weeks
We are seeking an organised and proactive Finance Officer to join our friendly school team in Croydon. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual who enjoys working in a busy school environment and takes pride in providing high-quality financial and administrative support.
About the Role:
As the Finance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth financial operation of the school. You will provide effective and efficient administrative and financial support to the Headteacher and Governing Board, contributing to the school's overall success and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day financial operations including invoices, orders, payments, and reconciliations
Support with budget monitoring, financial reporting, and year-end procedures
Maintain accurate financial records and assist with audits and returns
Liaise with suppliers, staff, and external partners regarding financial matters
Ensure compliance with financial policies and school procedures
About You:
Previous experience in a school finance or similar administrative role
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Confident using financial management systems and Microsoft Office
A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
Committed to supporting the values and aims of the school
