Location: Grimsby or Boston (expected 2 days in the office per week)

Hours: 40

Salary: £36,365 per year

What does a typical week look like ?

As our Planning Team Leader, you'll take the lead on planning and coordinating resources across repairs, servicing, major works and empty homes. Your work will directly influence customer satisfaction, productivity and service performance.

As you may imagine, this isn't always easy, and requires empathy, strong effective communication skills and bags of resilience .

A typica l week could look like:

* Plan and organise the work of our operatives for repairs, empty homes, major works and servicing, making sure their time is used well.
* Make sure we meet all safety and legal requirements by scheduling work correctly.
* Track how well repairs and servicing are performing and use good planning to improve results.
* Look for ways to improve the service by using data to understand what works and what doesn't .
* Provide admin support to keep schedules up to date and help the team work smoothly.
* Keep an eye on the planning budget so we spend money wisely and stay on track.
* Set and check the day ‑ to ‑ day processes we follow, so the team works efficiently and consistently.
* Help develop and improve policies, procedures and working practices across the service.
* Work closely with other LHP teams and our customers to spot opportunities to improve and do things better.
Report on how the service is performing, raise any concerns or risks, and carry out regular 1:1s, appraisals, complaint investigations and team management tasks in line with policies.

Who are we looking for?

It would be great if you also have :

* Significant experience in a works planning/scheduling environment.
* Proven experience of leading a team, motivating, coaching, and developing staff to achieve performance targets and maintain a high level of service delivery.
* Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.
* Confident in dealing with people and can communicate clearly and effectively at all levels within the organisation.
* Flexible, with the ability to prioritise in an environment of constant change.
* Great verbal and written communication skills supported by strong literacy and numeracy.
* Can cope with a changing environment to develop new services and ideas.
Competent in use of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, MS Teams, and O365 suite of products).
