Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Stafford, a category C Prison located in Staffordshire. HMP Stafford has a capacity of 741 males.
Hours
* This role is 37.5 hours per week
* Monday - Sunday service
* 7pm - 7.30am
* 4 week rolling rota
Please note there is a requirement to do a day shift on rotation for ongoing professional development and support.
This position is full time. You’ll receive an annual salary between £33,232 - £40,211 depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
* You will be an integral part of the healthcare team at HMP Stafford, applying your clinical skills and passion for care
* Develop and lead clinics, undertake examinations and tests, answer emergency bells, and potentially be the first person to attend an emergency
* Administer IV medications, administer controlled drugs, provide palliative care including syringe drivers, and manage complex patients working with a paramedic in emergencies

Qualifications
* NMC registered
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
* Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
* A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
Experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment is desirable but not essential.
