Position: Rigger (Contract)
Location: Deeside, UK
Duration: 5-6 Months
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: Competitive (DOE)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Rigger to join a major engineering construction project in Deeside on a 5-6 month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for lifting, moving, and securing heavy equipment, plant, and materials, ensuring all operations are carried out safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out rigging, lifting, and hoisting operations in line with industry standards and safety regulations.
2. Inspect and maintain lifting gear, slings, shackles, and other rigging equipment.
3. Work closely with crane operators and site teams to ensure safe and precise lifting.
4. Read and interpret lifting plans, blueprints, and method statements.
5. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
* Valid Rigger Certification (CSCS Gold Card / NVQ Moving Loads)
* Experience working on engineering or construction projects
* Strong knowledge of lifting techniques, equipment, and safety procedures
* Ability to work at heights and in challenging environments
* Commitment to safe working practices
