Full-Time Teacher of Geography
Location: Blackburn, Lancashire
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-Time (Fixed Term until April 2027)
A welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Blackburn is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Geography to join our Humanities department from September 2026. This is a full-time, fixed-term position initially running until April 2027, with the potential for extension.
The Role:
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a passion for the subject and supporting students of all abilities to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, and the wider life of the school.
We are looking for someone who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has a strong subject knowledge in Geography
Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills
Is committed to high standards of teaching and learning
Can inspire and motivate students to succeed
Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to the school community

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
