Previous experience in similar role Recognised apprenticeship/time served in electrical or mechanical engineering Strong hand tool skills – bench fitting Strong understanding of machining processes Strong understanding of engineering material properties Strong understanding of engineering design principles Strong problem solving, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Continuous Improvement (CI) skills Strong understanding of working safely and risk perception Strong understanding of reading technical drawings (CAD) Experience of working with all types of pumps, motors and rotating equipment Experience of working with manufacturing lines Experience of working in a fast-paced environment Experience of good engineering practices Ability to work to tight deadlines Ability to work well as part of a team Ability to work well independently with a brief from the client or project manager Ability to organise sub componentry for any assemblies where required Ability to design bespoke solutions for the client or needs of a Project Manager Good communication skills as this will be a client facing role Good at using Microsoft packages at a basic level to write reports and interact with spreadsheets Desired: experience working from MEWPs & Scissor Lifts Desired: experience working in a blue chip factory environment Desired: IOSH certification
