Celeros Flow Technology, LLC has been delivering high‑performance flow control solutions for over 140 years. The Quality Engineer will manage and coordinate Quality Assurance activities to support project execution at the Glasgow (Cathcart) facility, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ASME, and applicable regulatory requirements.


General Summary

The Quality Engineer will lead and coordinate quality improvement initiatives across product lines that are manufactured, assembled, and serviced within the Glasgow (Cathcart) facility, ensuring adherence to the company’s quality management system and external regulations.


Principle Duties And Responsibilities

* Lead quality reviews of contract‑specific requirements at tender and order‑execution phases.
* Communicate quality requirements and expectations to functional areas through formal communication with internal and external stakeholders (review meetings, order review documents, quality plans).
* Coordinate with internal departments to define and resolve product quality problems and provide guidance on all aspects of quality.
* Negotiate quality standards with customers, promoting the external image of the company through effective quality management.
* Coordinate with external customers and vendors to ensure clear understanding of quality requirements.
* Support quality initiatives to foster a culture of continuous improvement and best practice adoption.
* Issue technical documentation for customers to verify product reliability, safety, and guarantee.
* Develop and update quality procedures and standards as best practice changes occur.
* Ensure compliance with group, company, industry, national and international standards, regulations, statutes, compliance and governmental guidance.
* Conduct audits in line with ISO 9001:2015, NQA-1 and other applicable industry standards, completing supporting documents.
* Lead product or process‑related incident investigations, ensuring proper methods of investigation and reporting, and implementing lessons learned.
* Develop efficient and effective processes and controls to improve quality performance.
* Own project NCRs through to closure prior to goods shipment.
* Apply Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) techniques to eliminate repeat errors.
* Support EHS requirements as applicable through project execution and facility needs.

* Promote health and safety policies to reduce potential harm.
* Maintain human resource activities related to attendance, holidays, and performance.
* Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s procedures to deliver and maintain the highest ethical standards.
* Develop self and participate in assigned training and development activities.
* Understand company service and product offerings and establish subject‑matter expertise.
* Create and maintain positive working relationships and follow correct reporting lines.
* Work the reasonable hours required to meet job needs, with ad‑hoc travel and additional duties as necessary.


Managing People

* Lead and manage people effectively by delegating responsibilities to encourage development.
* Motivate groups and individuals to excel in their roles.
* Provide learning opportunities through on‑the‑job training and formal training as appropriate.
* Measure performance, give regular feedback, and develop strategies to meet objectives.
* Recognise and resolve conflict to minimise operational disruption.


Education and Experience

* University or College Degree in Engineering or Quality Management, or significant relevant industry experience.
* Experience with ISO 9001, API, DEF-STAN, NQA-1, ASME codes and standards, RCC‑M, ASNT‑TC‑1A, and EN ISO 9712.
* Technical competence in reviewing ISO/ASTM standards and customer specifications.
* Process risk management and RCFA experience.
* High computer proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Experience in development and delivery of training programs.
* Strong internal and external auditing experience.
* Basic knowledge of HSEQ company standards.
* Continuous improvement experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
* Yellow/Green Belt in Lean Six‑Sigma.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
* High commercial acumen and professional conduct.
* Willingness to travel occasionally and possession of a full UK driving licence.


Right to Work and Security Clearance

Must have valid right to work in the UK and be able to obtain Security Clearance to apply for this role.
