Job Title: Software Development Team Member - NHS Dorset County Hospital
Digital change within the NHS is gathering pace, and a key pillar in delivering change at Dorset County Hospital is the Software Development team. The team works closely with clinicians and operational teams, utilizing their detailed domain knowledge to develop meaningful solutions that support the organisation's digital ambitions.
The team's work is broad and varied. In an ever-changing healthcare landscape, a pragmatic and flexible attitude is essential. The team supports various disciplines, including clinical systems, business intelligence, operational systems, integration, support, and infrastructure. The post holder will be involved in all areas of the team's work, continuously inspecting, adapting, and evolving processes.
The post holder will be expected to:
1. Identify and log acceptance criteria and test cases
2. Plan testing activities
3. Write test scripts
4. Evidence test outcomes
5. Raise defects and support their resolution
6. Curate test data and assist with configuration and the state of test environments
7. Facilitate user acceptance testing
8. Participate in design workshops
9. Provide updates to project teams and senior staff, and participate in development reviews and demonstrations
10. Support the ongoing operation of systems developed and maintained by the team
11. Participate in defining and refining the team’s standards, practices, and methodology
12. Exhibit good agile behaviours and positively impact the team
