Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Finance / Accounts Assistant to join our friendly and professional finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with drive and ambition who is keen to progress with the right support, as the business continues to grow. Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of the purchase ledger, including processing invoices, raising queries, issuing purchase orders, and making payments Handle the sales ledger, including raising invoices, responding to customer queries, and sending statements Perform daily bank reconciliations, including credit cards, PayPal, and Stripe Check, process, and submit staff expenses Carry out credit control, including conducting credit checks Assist the Finance Manager with month-end and year-end processes Support with quarterly VAT returns Assist with ad hoc finance duties as required Skills & Experience Required GCSE grades 5 or above in English & Maths as a minimum High level of accuracy and attention to detail Experience working in a finance/accounts department desirable Well-organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Experience with Xero is highly advantageous AAT or other finance qualifications would be beneficial Personal Attributes A true team player with strong communication skills A positive, can-do attitude Calm under pressure and solution-focused Package Salary: £20-27k dependent on experience and qualifications Bonus: Annual bonus of up to 10% based on company profit and performance Hours: Full time (37.5 hours) based at our HQ in Coventry office based Holidays: 22 days Bank Holidays.
