Street Cleansing Operative

Industry: Infrastructure

Location: Isle of Wight
\n
Hours: 1pm - 9.30pm (40 hours per week)
\n
Days: 5 days from 7, including Saturday & Sunday (2 consecutive days off during the week)
\n
Duration: Temporary ongoing
\n
Duties:
\n
Working on own initiative, to set routes, emptying public bins (including dog waste), manual handling.
Reporting asset defects and maintenance requirements.
Vehicle checks and reporting maintenance.
Adherence to health and safety.
May also include: Litter picking and road sweeping, clearing gullies and drains, weeding and gum or graffiti removal.

Experience:
\n
Must be able to work well on own initiative, outside in all weathers and adhere to schedules.
Must be physically able to walk for distances and undertake manual handling duties.
Must have full driver's licence and a good understanding of health and safety.
\n
Salary: £12.21 per hour worked, overtime paid at time and a third
