Roles & Responsibilities
* Collaborate with other engineers, architects, and consultants to ensure integration of systems with the building’s infrastructure.
* Provide technical solutions based on client specifications and project requirements.
* Oversee the installation and commissioning of IBMS and Fire Alarm Systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
* Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting, and system calibration to ensure systems are operating efficiently.
* Provide ongoing support for the maintenance and servicing of IBMS and Fire Alarm Systems.
* Conduct regular inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure systems function optimally.
* Respond promptly to system failures or service requests and ensure resolution in a timely manner.
* Coordinate with project managers to ensure electrical components of the IBMS and Fire Alarm projects are completed on time and within budget.
* Ensure all designs and installations comply with national and international electrical codes, fire safety standards, and building regulations.
* Prepare documentation for compliance and certification purposes.
* Collaborate with mechanical, civil, and other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of electronic systems with building infrastructure.
* Develop circuit diagrams, wiring schematics, and layouts for IBMS and fire alarm systems.
* Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical and electronic components of IBMS and Fire Alarm Systems.
* Perform electrical and electronic system testing, calibration, and fine-tuning to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the installation phase to ensure smooth system startup.
* Provide ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support for installed IBMS and Fire Alarm Systems.
* Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and fault diagnostics for electrical/electronic systems.
* Ensure minimal downtime and effective resolutions for system failures or malfunctions.
* Assist with project planning, including estimating electrical and electronic system requirements and preparing cost estimates.
* Work closely with project managers to ensure all electrical components of the IBMS and Fire Alarm systems are delivered on time and within budget.
* Participate in the preparation of project documentation and reports.
* Ensure all electrical and electronic designs and installations comply with local and international electrical codes, fire safety regulations, and industry standards.
* Work with certification agencies to ensure systems are certified for use in commercial and residential buildings.
* Stay updated with emerging technologies in electrical, electronic, and fire alarm systems, and recommend innovative solutions to improve system functionality and efficiency.
* Provide technical support to clients, including system training and guidance on maintenance practices.
* Ensure the end-user has a complete understanding of the system’s operation and maintenance needs.
