Hywel Dda UHB has an exciting opportunity to join our developing Cancer Therapies Service which supports patients in preparation for, during and for rehabilitation following cancer treatment.
Hywel Dda UHB's "Prehab through to Rehab" programme supports people throughout their cancer treatments by enhancing patients clinical, functional and wellbeing outcomes, as well as improving patient experience.
Main duties
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will be expected to provide high quality, evidence‑based, person‑centred care to people virtually across Hywel Dda, supporting the virtual Cancer Therapies Service.
Applications are invited from individuals with demonstrable experience in working with people with cancer. Candidates should be interested in working within a MDT therapy service that actively supports professional development and is committed to excellent patient care and service improvement.

The post holder will be expected to travel across the Health Board footprint at times; mileage allowance is payable and a lease car scheme is available.

This role supports the delivery of an innovative virtual cancer therapies service, coordinating appointments, managing patient records, and applying physiotherapy interventions under appropriate supervision.
Person Specification
Qualifications & Knowledge
* Good command of English language and basic Maths
* NVQ level 3 or equivalent
* Relevant additional courses to support clinical work
* Significant knowledge and experience of the model of physiotherapy, able to support therapeutic intervention with arm’s length supervision (lone working)
* Broad range of experience as a support worker in therapy service or an associated field
* Basic IT skills
* IT knowledge of data collection systems
* Professional, technical or academic qualification related to clinical practice up to 180 credits level 4
Experience
* Demonstrated manual handling and manipulation skills to help restore patients functional ability
* Demonstrated visual acuity and perceptual skills
* Ability to work unsupervised in a variety of settings, taking responsibility for a delegated workload
* Working knowledge of specialist therapeutic equipment appropriate to clinical specialty
* Experience of supervising staff
* Additional clinical or health care related experience
* Experience of working with groups of patients
Language Skills
* Welsh Speaker (Level 1)
